CSHH is home to Papa Palheta, naturally embarks to deliver an unparalleled coffee experience in this beautifully conserved Art Deco shophouse.
Situated along Tyrwhitt Road in the Jalan Besar district of Singapore, Chye Seng Huat Hardware (CSHH), which means to 'flourish again’, was home to several metal and hardware companies of the past. The name of the building was collaboratively conceived by the landlord and Papa Palheta, to pay tribute to the hardware heritage of the site and vicinity. Today, CSHH is home to Papa Palheta and having made this our flagship store, Papa Palheta naturally embarks to deliver an unparalleled coffee experience in this beautifully conserved Art Deco shophouse. CSHH houses the Roastery, the CSHH Coffee Bar and C-Platform.
The Roastery offers a peek into the transformation of green beans which intrigues patrons to coffee’s mechanical background as a prelude to their cup. Customers will also witness the roasters scientifically bring out the best intrinsic flavours of the coffee. Inside the CSHH Coffee Bar, the focus turns to brewing coffee. Clad with different metals and materials true to itself, the island bar allows a 360 degree view on the baristas brewing craft. The coffee bar also has the largest wall of coffee products, accessories and equipment, taking coffee retail therapy to another level. On the second floor is where C-Platform serves as an intersection of knowledge and passion. C-Platform is equipped with state-of-the-art coffee gadgets, apparatus and machines to allow one to understand and learn about coffee beyond the bean.
With every component of Chye Seng Huat Hardware, Papa Palheta seeks to contribute to the vibrant community of Jalan Besar, whilst serving honest coffee.
