The resort hides away from the outside world just off the East Coast of tropical Malaysia. The word “TAARA” comes from the Sanskrit language that was born 4000 years ago. “Taara” means “Goddess of the Sea”, “The Star “and “The apple of my eye”.

Asean Terrace Lounge
Lounge serving light bites cocktails and drinks accompanied by light background music.Our terrace bar overlooking the pool, serving light bites and finger food as well as three different choices of Afternoon Tea. Dive
The Island along with the protected Marine Park is located in the richly diverse South China Sea and the archipelago comprises of nine islands (Lima Island, Paku Besar Island, Paku Kecil Island, Kerengga Besar Island, Kerengga Kecil Island, Ekor Tebu Island, Batu Ling Island, Pinang Island and the main Redang Island). All the reefs around this area is protected by the Marine & Fisheries department to ensure the region protects its underwater heritage and ecosystem.
There are more than 30 dive locations, filled with both beautiful hard and soft corals. Expect to see turtles, reef sharks (harmless to humans), various marine species including moray eels, angel fish, barracuda, napoleon, triggerfish, rainbow runner, giant stingray, cuttlefish, octopus, nudibranch and more.

There is plenty to do at The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort. Whether it is just relaxing by the beach, or going all out with adventure-packed water activities like snorkelling and kayaking, we have it all.
For jungle trekking, the fascinating hilly island of Redang paves the way for a 2 km moderately well-trodden and marked path between Pasir Panjang and Teluk Dalam beach. Sights include a small stream and pools with catfish, the occasional encounter with the shy kancil (mouse deer) as well as other flora and fauna.
