The abacus calculation means moving the beads on the abacus directly whereas mental arithmetic means the imagination space of right brain is utilized to compute with the help of imaginary beads. Abacus calculation is the core of the course. The mental-arithmetic practice which belongs to right brain development will not be launched without completing the 34 formulas. Therefore, Intelligent Mental-Arithmetic course has introduced a teaching method which is easy to learn, easy to use and easy to remember. That is “Non-Formula.” (Which means students do not need to memorize any formulas. The characteristics are as follows: 1. It takes about 12 to 48 months to complete a level for children whose memory and understanding abilities are not well or sluggish with the formula method; on the contrary, it only takes about 4 to 5 months to finish a level by using non-formula method. 2. Since the children need not memorize any formulas, even a three-year-old child can also start the course after passing the test.
